1. Railways to run 800 special trains
As I have already written in the previous post here, railways has decided to run 800 special trains to facilitate the pilgrims of the great Kumbh Mela. The main zones of railways will be northern, north-eastern, north-central railways who will be serving the passengers on this occasion. Special trains will connect Allahbad junction, Prayag station, Varanasi, Mughalsarai, Jounpur, Fatehpur etc. It will carry the pilgrims on main Snan days and take them back to their homes.

2. Cheaper train tickets
Indian Railways has also waived off the mela surcharge last month in Dec 2018 to encourage the pilgrimage. Thus the train tickets will be much more cheaper. This year govt is spending Rs 4200 Crores to facilitate the Kumbh mela which is three times the amount spent in 2013 Kumbh mela.

3. Special boats at the Ghats
This year a number of boats will be made available for to and fro movement of the pilgrims. Floating terminals have been made at Kilaghat, Saraswati Ghat, Naini Bridge and Sujavan Ghat. All the arrangements have been outsourced to the Inline Waterways Authority of India.

4. Airboats at a speed of 80kmph
Special airboats will be operated between Varanasi and Allahbad on this occasion which can carry 16 passengers at a speed of 80kmph. (images are just symbolic)
5. In case of anything lost, speical assistance by police
In the crowd of millions, there is always a risk of something to be lost or misshappen. To report it to the police, special websites and apps have been made where FIR’s can be lodged.

6. 200 luxury tents in the tent city
A Delhi based company is going to establish a luxury tent city in this Ardh Kumbh Mela. The maximum rent of a tent will be Rs 35,000. More than 600 tents will be made. The deluxe tents will cost Rs 12,000. (images are just symbolic)
7. Bed at Rs 1000 only in tent city
There will be another Lukhnow based company who will be make a tent city offering a bed at Rs 1000 only.

9. More than 1.25 lakh toilets built
Another great step is making of more than a lakh toilets, separately for the ladies and gents.

10. Live telecast in the city everywhere
As everyone may not be able to face the crowd and see the ceremonies, for them, live telecast facilities will be installed in all main steets of the Allahbad city. Every cultural program, Snan, art, dance etc will be thoroughly aired in the big LCD screens in the streets.
